MADELIENE PRESTON FINALIST IN CITY OF HOBART ART PRIZE

Home@735 Gallery Director Madeleine Preston is a finalist in the 2015 City of Hobart Art Prize. The prize selects from two categories each year and the 2015 Art Prize was for artists working in ceramics and drawing. The finalists’ exhibition presents the best in current practice from across Australia, selected for excellence, originality and innovation in design or concept, use of materials and technique.

Other finalist in the ceramics category include Kirsten Coelho, Lynda Draper, Sarah O’Sullivan, Clare Nicholson and Jenny Orchard. The launch and announcement of the winners is on Thursday 17th September. The finalists exhibition will be open to the public at the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery from 18 September to 29 November 2015.
