… I visited the auction preview for some wonderful Australian art at Deutscher and Hackett…works by Sidney Nolan, Arthur Boyd, Godfey Miller, Jeffrey Smart, Brett Whiteley and Fred Williams just to name a few. Its great to see a collection of works like this in the one place, so if you live in Sydney try and check it out…also being auctioned are a number of Op art pieces by Bridget Riley, a series of painting by Clarice Beckett and a small watercolour by one of my favorite Australian artist, Russell Drysdale…hope to go back for another look on the weekend.
